FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why do the socks shed lint and form small pills?

FOOTER socks are made of high-density short-fibre cotton yarn that can develop small balls due to friction and heat. The toe area, especially in dark color socks, may accumulate more cotton yarn due to sweating. However, this is a normal process that does not impact the socks' structure or their ability to deodorize and wick away sweat. To help with this issue, we suggest washing the socks inside out multiple times, and the situation will gradually improve.

Why do invisible socks still slip off?

While FOOTER invisible socks have a silicone gel grip for better slip resistance, we cannot guarantee that they will never slip due to variations in foot shape, shoe type, walking posture and other factors. Some slippage may still occur.

Why are there many loose threads when i turn the socks inside out?

This problem only occurs in color-blocked socks. We intentionally leave loose threads in order to connect different color during the weaving process This is not a defect and has no impact on the socks' functionality or comfort when worn.

What does "deodorising" mean? Does it mean the socks will not smell or that they prevent foot odour?

FOOTER deodorizing socks use a physical deodorising technique, combining natural cotton fabric, reverse airflow design, and breathable mesh weaving for moisture absorption and sweat-wicking. They provide long-lasting breathability, dryness, comfort and reduce bacterial growth, ensuring a comfortable and dry feet.

What is the difference between thin and thick socks?

Thick socks are ideal for individuals with larger sweat volumes, excessive sweating and foot odour issues. Thin socks are suitable for lower sweat volumes. Thick socks have a cushioned bottom for enhanced comfort, moisture absorption, sweat-wicking and deodorising performance. They provide better breathability and allow feet to breathe without feeling overheated. Invisible socks and toe socks are not recommended for larger sweat volumes.

Why is the deodorising effect not satisfactory when using FOOTER deodorising socks?

Sock effectiveness depends on user environment; non-breathable shoes may cause stuffiness; for extended periods with significant sweat production, change socks twice daily.

How should I wash and care for FOOTER deodorising socks?
  • We recommend placing the socks inside out in a laundry bag and washing them with regular detergent.
  • Please avoid using bleach and fabric softeners as they may cause color fading and reduce moisture absorption and sweat-wicking effectiveness.
  • After washing, air-dry the socks as usual. Do not use a dryer as the heat may cause the cotton yarn to shrink.
  • When storing the socks, it is advisable to fold them flat to prevent the sock from stretching out and losing elasticity.
How long can FOOTER deodorising socks maintain their deodorising effectiveness? What should I do when my socks become stiff?

Sock lifespan depends on individual sweat production. For a healthy environment, change socks daily and replace after 10 months to 1 year. If stiffness and deodorising effect weaken, soak socks in warm water and rub with detergent to alleviate fibre blockage caused by sweat and dirt.

How to develop the habit of wearing socks correctly to protect the sock junctions from damage?

Step 1: Select the appropriate sock size for yourself.

Step 2: Keep your feet dry to avoid moisture and friction, which may affect the smoothness of wearing socks.
